Links on the World Wide Web _________________
A number of sites on the World Wide Web relate to earthquake engineering and seismic qualification of equipment. Those that may be of particular interest to SQUG members are listed below.
If you identify other sites that members may be interested in, please forward the URL of those sites to the SQUG Webmaster at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
SQUG operates an email list server (SQUGLIST) that allows members to send
and receive email messages to/from other registered users. The purpose of
this service is to facilitate discussion of the SQUG methods and other
related equipment seismic qualification methods.
eSQUG SQUG Earthquake Experience
Database (QA version) This web site, sponsored by EPRI on their QA
server, provides engineers a user-friendly way to access the SQUG Seismic
Experience Database, a comprehensive set of data obtained from a wide variety
of equipment that experienced earthquakes. These data are intended for use
with the SQUG procedures for seismic qualification of New and Replacement
SQURTS The Seismic Qualification Reporting and Testing Standardization (SQURTS) program is an EPRI-sponsored group of utility members who periodically shake table test equipment and parts. The seismic qualification reports from these tests may be shared by all members of SQURTS for use at their nuclear power plants.
EPRI The Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) maintains an extensive web site with data and reports that can be used by SQUG members.
USGS Earthquake Hazards Program Information on worldwide earthquake activity, earthquake science, and earthquake hazard reduction.
Earthquake Preparedness Guide: How To Stay Safe and Survive - This guide explains in simple terms how to prepare for an earthquake, answers frequently asked questions about earthquakes, provides a link to the Earthquake Notification Service, and includes a list of resources related to earthquake preparedness and hazards.
